Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most well-known role is her part as Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC show Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Other roles she has played comprise Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in love with acting in Preparatory before her Family moved to Ohio. She was a student at Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was a part of a couple of seasons working in Chicago theater before transitioning to film and TV roles. Anna was cast as Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the 29-episode show Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and other shows until the end of the 1990's. Then she was selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons in Deadwood's second season. Skyler is her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully was the Deadwood film, and other movies included her. Gunn also took to the stage in a David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. In addition, she played in Numbered Day, a podcast consisting of four audio plays. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's marriage to Skyler. Walter White's life story as well as the stress on his relationship with Skyler are mirrored in the series.
