Katarina was born in Staaken on the 3rd December 1965. In her search for new opportunities, Witt continues to expand and acquire new talents in the field of figure skating, as also producing, performing acting, and writing. Following 1998's World Championships Katarina Witt ends her successful amateur career at present. The following three-year period is when Witt co-headlines her debut as a professional in Canada as well as the United States alongside World Champion Brian Boitano. The first time in 10 years, the Madison Square Garden shows a show of figure skating with "Witt and Boitano skating". This show became so well-known that it sold out Madison Square Garden for a whole event. 1993-94 saw her return to an amateur sports and enters the competitive limelight to participate three times as a competitor in the Olympic Games in Lillehammer in 1994. Then, for 10 years she travels across North America as the star of "Champions on Ice" and"Champions On Ice, "Stars on Ice" as well as the "Champions on Ice Tour" and other figure skating shows. She also competes in a variety of professional international events. She creates headlines and concept ideas for and creates many international ice show shows with her own business, WITT. It is the pioneer in the skate production industry, producing such shows as "Divas of Ice", "Katarina & Friends", Enjoy Stars and Winter Magic", for US TV as well as German TV.
